Welcome To The Obama… Only Good Things…

By david ~ January 20th, 2009. Filed under: Music, Uncategorized, history, politics, webcomics.

Obama is president now!  Hooray!

So some follow up on that:

1) Hillary Clinton and her imaginary experience …

2) The most intense unrelated thing ever… (well, no, but if you like Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! you might like this, in a sort of “this isn’t actually a joke” kind of way)… maybe we need to cover this song.  Actually, it’s kind of amazing to see this guy’s voice coming out of … well, him.

3) All that said, I’m not sure about this.  It just seems altogether unnecessary…

4) Okay, I just re-discovered the first song by Mando Diao I’d ever heard, “The Band”. I love it; it has that Motown-y drum beat thing that always gets me excited.  They’re a Swedish indie rock band.  They’re like XTC meets the Strokes or something.  Which means it’s not, like, amazing music for your soul, but it has a snappy beat and some nice melodies.  And that song by Ida Maria I just heard for the first time, “I Like You So Much Better When You’re Naked,” also has that same kinda drum beat in it.  But it’s a bit more rockabilly at points, and her voice is more PJ Harvey.  But it, too, is a party:

No newer new comic yet, but I have it all planned out.  It’s gonna be bigger than the Empire State Building!  Well not really.  But it’ll be something on a web page, anyway.

Thanks, & love you a lot…
